King Gators' second makes an early arrival

I got the following e-mail from Rex, posted about an hour ago:

"Believe it or not, Sophia came last night three weeks early. Lori had a c-section and Sophia was born at 10:57 pm. She weighed 8 lbs 3 oz. We're at Arnold Palmer. Baby is doing well, but they are conservatively watching her breathing.

ESPN.com - NCF - Florida LB jailed, charged with battery at party

I forgot Charles had a previous incident, too. If this story is true -- and it sounds like it is -- then he ought to be gone, even without a previous battery conviction.

ESPN.com - NCF - Florida LB jailed, charged with battery at party: "GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida linebacker Taurean Charles remained in jail Wednesday, a day after he was arrested at a June off-campus party and charged with aggravated battery, a second-degree felony."

Vols' Banks suspended for three games

ESPN.com - NCF - Vols' Banks suspended for three games: "KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee receiver James Banks remains suspended and will miss the season's first three games -- including a huge SEC East clash against rival Florida -- because he was cited for underage drinking and defying police orders to turn down his radio, coach Phillip Fulmer said Tuesday.
Banks, a junior from Indianapolis and last year's leading receiver, was indefinitely suspended in March for violating unspecified team rules. Fulmer said at the time Banks could rejoin the team if he accomplished certain goals.
'In the last two months, he made excellent strides in fulfilling requirements set by me to get off the indefinite suspension he was on,' Fulmer said in a statement. 'However, now we have another issue that has embarrassed this team and the university.'
Banks will miss games against UNLV, Florida and Louisiana Tech."

OT: Has anybody seen Fahrenheit 9/11?

Amazon.com: Books: Reading Mastery - Level 2 Storybook 1: "10 of 10 people found the following review helpful:
Nothing could tear me away from 'The Pet Goat', July 7, 2004
Reviewer: A reader from Washington DC
Not even a national emergency! This is probably the greatest book EVER written. It has lots of colorful pictures, and it's just so fun to 'read' while I sit there for at least seven minutes wondering why I took a job that I have absolutely no skills for, and that when it comes right down to it, I didn't even want! It's not as good as 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' (the words are bigger), but it comes close!"

New cool stuff -- roster and schedules -- and a question and a request

I added the aforementioned docs as links in the "Links to Cool Stuff" box on the right. I'll stick the rules over there, too, once I dig them up again. And if anybody else knows any info it would be good to have permanent web access to, let me know and I will see about including it on this page.

Does everybody else see wide, empty margins -- like 2-3" -- on either side of the blog and sidebars, or is that just my browser/monitor/whatever? If everybody's seeing it, I'll try to figure out how to take advantage of that wasted space.

Finally, you guys need to post some more stuff to scroll those damn glitter boys off this page.
